Forgiveness is for.....
Forgiveness is not for the other person, it is for you!
As we continue to grow awareness in our childhood and relationships we find ourselves choosing to forgive. However, it can a bit touchy especially at first.
We choose to forgive others to free ourselves from the pain, guilt and anger. It opens us up to receive more in our lives.
I had a client who struggled to forgive herself for the last few months...it was something she was not ready to do. She was angry she let herself get to such a bad place before reaching out for help.
She was able to forgive others (p.s. you don't have to tell them in person there are other ways to let go and forgive people, places and situations) Then she slowly started to forgive herself. That was a game changer for her relationships.
When we start to let go and forgive ourselves, we see our situations change. For her she was able to have a much better relationship with family. At work she was even recognized more....She wasn't hiding from her mistakes and doubt...she was facing those fears and living through them one at a time!
Remember forgiveness is powerful...but it is never about the other person. It is about YOU!
