I love burnt chicken...nope not the fried crispy chicken!
When the chicken is done do you take it out or put in back in the oven to cook more, dry it out and burn? Well...obviously you take it out! But then why do you continue to work even after we are energetically, physically or emotionally tapped for the day?
You take time to recharge your cell phone, get out of the sun when you are feeling burnt and definitely (try) to take food out of the oven before it burns. So when it comes to burnout we need to really understand the care that goes into it.
At what temperature will you burn? What if you turn down the temperature, or add some liquid to not dry out? Will those things lengthen the time to completion?
When it comes to burnout we need to know what can help us stay energized on slow cooking, but not fry us. What will help us replenish those liquids and what lets out the steam.
It's a process and while it may sound daunting is actually quite easy. After re-experiencing a level of burnout this year, I know there is a process to the burnout, and an easy process that will help you out of it. I started burning out in my 20s, not sleeping, making those deadlines, putting work, friendships, relationships first. But not taking the time for me and not knowing what truly makes me happy.
It can be easy to wake up energized, have room to breathe and even have amazing loving boundaries.
